PROGRAM

First day

Check-in. From 4:00 p.m.

7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Comprehensive health from the perspective of neuroscience and yoga

In this first part we will analyze how the prevalence of diseases and disorders derived from an unbalanced lifestyle are increasing significantly in our Western society and we will see how the scientific paradigm is changing towards a lifestyle medicine that, on one hand understands the human being as an integrative whole and, on the other hand aims to enhance health to, as much as possible, prevent the appearance of disease. As Hippocrates, father of medicine, already said in the 4th century BC: “The best medicine is to teach people how not to need it.”

You will learn what the keys are to the development and guarantee of comprehensive health from the dual perspective of neuroscience and yoga, which are actually the same. Throughout the retreat days, we will put these keys into practice with exercises to improve all areas of our health.

Includes yoga exercises to improve sleep quality and meditation session.

9:00 p.m. Dinner. Homemade vegetarian/vegan food.

Second day

8:00- 9:30h.- Keys to physical health.

We start the day with a short series of stretching exercises. Next, we will analyze the keys to good physical health, including diet, breathing exercises, and specific exercises for physical health and the digestive system.

Includes meditation session.

9:30-10:30 a.m.- Healthy breakfast.

11:30-1:00 p.m.

  • (In good weather) Experience mindfulness in nature.

We will take a silent walk along the Boborás Trail. Mindful walking is considered a very interesting form of informal practice within Mindfulness. If we also do it in a natural environment like the one we propose, the experience is even more enriching.

  • (If it rains) Colloquium: The distortions of spiritual marketing.

Nowadays, a multitude of activities, courses, training, etc. are emerging within the field of personal growth and spirituality. As we know, all that glitters is not gold and it is often difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff. We will hold a round table in which we will discuss this topic in depth and explore the keys to developing discernment, a fundamental tool for choosing wisely.

2:00 p.m.- Homemade vegetarian/vegan food.

16:00-17:30h.- Emotional management and regulation from the psychobiology, health and neuroscience perspective.

All areas of our health (mental, emotional and physical) are intimately interconnected, in such a way that we can differentiate them for theoretical analysis, but it is not possible to establish the line that separates one from the other. However, we pay special attention to the emotional area, since this is undoubtedly the one that has the greatest impact on the others, both while in balance and imbalance.

With simplicity, clarity and precision, you will acquire the right tools to achieve a true emotional transformation.

The main purpose is to minimize suffering. For this, we will develop the ability to identify the mental mechanisms that generate it, and in this way we will obtain the tools to neutralize and transcend it.

19:00-20:30h.- Keys to mental health.

A 2010 Harvard University study concluded that “A wandering mind is an unhappy mind.” The following year, another study from the University of Massachusetts demonstrated how meditation generates changes in the brain that translate into a greater capacity for attention and concentration, reducing the time we are absorbed in mental wandering.

Conversely, statistics predict that one in four people will suffer from mental health problems throughout their lives. This data speaks for itself. Using meditation as a central axis, we will see how we can work the mind and what the benefits of a developed mind are.

It includes a Yoga Nidra session, an exercise that allows us to experience deep relaxation while working on concentration. This exercise also reduces stress and anxiety, improves rest and helps with emotional management and regulation.

9:00 p.m.- Dinner. Homemade vegetarian/vegan food.

Third day

8:00-9:30 a.m.- Daily yoga for super health.

We start the last day with a yoga exercise routine for super health: a series of simple but very effective exercises that, if practiced regularly, produce a very significant improvement in our health.

Includes meditation session.

9:30-10:30 a.m.- Healthy breakfast.

11:30-1:00 p.m. Hydrotherapy.

We will do a thermal circuit in the Caldas de Partovia spa, where you can enjoy the benefits of its mineral-medicinal water that emerges directly from the spring. This water produces a marked sedative, relaxing and analgesic action, which provides a feeling of well-being, facilitates mobility and relieves stiffness and contractures. In addition, the water temperature is 33 ºC so it does not produce tension drops.

2:00 p.m.- Lunch. Vegetarian homemade food. End of retreat.
